As a manufacturer, AC cars still make three separate models today. They are the MKV (the mark five), the MKIII (mark three) 427sc, which is the legendary auto from the 1960's and the MKII (mark two) which is the FIA specification race car. All cars are manufactured in the European Union and are designed not only for track use, but also for normal everyday road use.

 

MKV

 

AC cars MKV is a two seater roadster. It comprises of a carbon fibre composite body with closures also the same material. It also has the original four inch ladder style chassis with front and rear roll bars. It has a high racing specification including servo assisted callipers and discs set up with 3.45:1 ratio limited slip (Hydratrac) differential and front & rear multi link suspension with Spax shock absorbers. Rear wheels are peg drive supplied with 7" X 16" and 8" alloys and race specification tyres.

 

 

Full weather equipment including top, tonneau and side screens. Interior wise there is driver & passenger inertia lap and diagonal belts with the interior hand trimmed in leather with deep pile carpeting, leather covered instrument panel with body coloured instrument cluster, heater, cigarette lighter and power point. The dashboard consists of instrumentation-Speedo, tacho, oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, volt meter and clock. You can power your way from a standing start to sixty miles an hours – 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds flat, or 0 to 100 mph in 13 seconds. Top speed is 145 mph.

 

AC cars MKIII 427sc

 

The MKIII has a 4.4 litre engine. 390Bhp. 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. Top speed of 165 mph.

 

AC MKII 289

 

The AC MKII 289 roadster is built from the ground up by skilled craftsmen using the original jig and tools. A V8 engine powers this car, currently no official stats available as to zero to sixty and top speed.
