AC cars
AC cars are widely respected as one of the oldest manufacturers of classic British Sports cars today. Like most independent car makers, AC has a long and chequered history, having several company owners in their time line. They are also famous for the Cobra, an AC cars set up designed by Carroll Shelby, which took on the likes of Ferrari at Le Mans and won. In the height of Le Mans fever, not many manufacturers could produce a car to take on the Italian giant. The Shelby Cobra, did just this, with the chassis and body supplied by AC Cars.
AC cars history
The first record in history we can find of a car which was to be produced by AC is from the Motor show at Crystal Palace, London in 1903.
